I dissected a pigeon in ninth-grade biology and couldn't eat poultry for at least a month. The breast meat of the pigeon was the same texture and consistency as that of chicken, but it was gray and had been soaking in formaldehyde for some time.

i dissected a mink in senior year physiology. i stepped out every few minutes to spit because the formaldehyde was fucking awful smelling. i also named the mink audrey hepburn.

yesterday i finally got a data recovery done on my old computer, which is great cause i had alot of stuff i wanted from my old computer on to my new one. old school notes, music, super nintendo game files, some porn, and various travel notes, so yeah im ready to move on to this new computer finally, had the old one for almost 7 years so it lead a good life.

i had the same situation also (minus the porn). my desktop crashed so i got a macbook. my friend managed to get all my files and throw it on a mega flash drive. i don't know if i wanna look back into it though. i feel like i should leave it all behind.

Worth sifting through if you plan on writing about it at all. Something to be said about primary-source documentation and being able to specifically quote from your correspondence and conversations. Also, the act of sifting through all these documents will stir up strange feelings that you will have to come to terms with in your writing.

Of course, if you don't plan on writing about it at all, then maybe those ghosts are better left dead. Some people find old memories to be too painful. Me, I've been accused of being a robot because that kind of stuff doesn't bother me too much.

A very shabby looking man was walking past with a woman, pushing one of those carts that old ladies take to the supermarket to help them carry things. As he was passing, he stopped his friend and walked in. He had a wobbly gait, as though he were slightly off-balance. The dirt on his face made it hard to tell whether he was 30, 50, or somewhere in between. He wore tiny glasses on top of a nose fit for W.C. Fields and his mustache looked like it had been stolen off a broom.

Wearing a grimy, over-sized sweatshirt and some beat-up tennis shoes, he shambled to the counter.
