Which Jeans? APC or Iron Army?

ok im wanting a new pair of jeans and im leaning toward one of these 2. im very skinny with short legs so what do you think will look best on me? im 5'9" with a long torso and short legs, my legs are probably as long as someone 5'6" and im 125-130lbs. so these are the jeans im looking at.

I've never tried Sebastians but NSs will rape your legs with length.

You definitely can not go wrong with APC's the fit is amazing and although it takes about a month or two to see any fading they basically always end with awesome fades.

Get both! ha, They are great jeans. I would choose APC over armys because they are Selvage. But the Armys have awesome details. For APC choose 1-2 sizes smaller.

for NS try a 27 or 28. the rise in the Iron Army jeans are 8". Rise in APC NS are 11" i think. i think that's the main difference between the two. overall, the IA is a slimmer jean. might want to go true to size with the IA.

since almost everybody on this board buys APC's I would go for the Iron Armys, just to see how they break in...

I have Sebastians which I bought from Sam and have worn 98 times now. These are my first pair of raw denim, so I can't say in a case-study sort of way how they compare to APCs. Mine are showing some nice beginnings of fading, and I think ultimately they're going to look pretty damn good. They do have stretch, though (although they dont really feel that stretchy), which some people are averse to.

Basically I think the big differences are:

11" rise on APC vs. 8" on IA

APC = selvedge, IA = not

APC = super under-stated & no detailing, IA = lots of detailing, a bit louder

APC = true SF-core style, IA = a bit more fashionista (& stretch)

also for comparison sake: I'm 5'11" 160lb, about a 31-32" inseam (my IAs are cuffed and still bunch up a little bit), I'm normally a size 30 waist (in Levis, for example) but I wear 29 in IAs.

the rise on ia is ridiculously low so be wary. id suggest the brown raws (as opposed to the hiro blacks or sebastian indigo) cause they look pretty gnarly
