yeah maybe, although I dont fully understand the whole over the top religion bullshit when 20 minutes of the film is about the creation of the universe and the big bang theory. seems slightly conflicting. unless that was the point.

They're just different perspectives that Penn's character was contemplating. I didn't interpret the whispers as 'preaching', they just seemed to be memories to me.

1408 freaked me the fuck out for some reason. moreso than almost any other horror movie I've seen

I had the same experience with The Haunted, the 90s film with Kate Beckinsale. Second time through was wack bullshit...but the first time seriously gave that boy the heebie-jeebies.

I liked it alot and the way the movie was shot but certain parts of the movie were flawed (especially the reason they leave each other)

Seems to get a mixed reaction. Personally I liked it quite a lot. It was probably the most uncomfortable I've ever been in a cinema though. There were all these old people watching it and I think they got more than they bargained for. Emily Browning was stunning in it. The scenes where shes sitting at the bar. and whne shes wearing that cloak type thing picking berries of the bush. fuck.
