Any superlomographers here?

I've been browsing the lomographic community for a while, but I'm still quite new to everything so I wanted to ask those who do use lomographic cameras, what is the difference between the LC-A and the Holga?

I plan on buying myself a set, but I don't know which one.

I'm feel the need for some dark, vignetted pictures.

My LC-A broke, but I had some ok pics for my application to NYU three years ago.

On some og steez, before I was ever remotely interested in photography--I can't believe how I started, but I guess that's how it goes...

i got my lc-a in poland 2 years ago and i only used it there (above). sad.

i like my holga 10x better anyway. i'll post those sometime.

holga is NOT a lomo, buy a holga on ebay and save 40 some bucks. they're awesome buy one and have a blast.

The best camera for the buck without the stupid "ARTSY FARTSY" bullshit is an Olympus XA rangefinder.

I personally would go with LC-A I have a Holga which I hardly ever use anymore it can be fun but I never get the hang of it to be honest and from the results around most of the stuff I like were shot with LC-A...

I have one. I found that it works best when it's sunny. You can get pretty decent results using the weather symbols on the lensring. Set the aperture according to the manual (search on google for it if you didn't get one).

I shot one roll according to the Sunny16 rule, but haven't developed it yet.

My first roll turned out embarrassingly bad. Almost half of the pictures were shaken and they cut out all my double exposures.

I'm probably picking up my 2nd roll this afternoon, and not developed by that lame photo store again, so I hope its better this time.

Just take pictures and and if something looks good to you then keep doing it. Holgas take 120 and the LC-A takes 35mm. Both are fun just pick one and go with it.
