Jeans w/ a modern fit/low-rise

knucks

Recommended Posts

I've posted this on the other SF, but am still looking for more information. I am looking for a modern fitting jean..maybe Japanese. My thighs are relatively large from the gym and my upper body is big, so I look weird in skinny jeans.

I am looking for a modern cut, maybe a bit bootcut (RRDS? I like the way they fit..). I was considering the PBJ xx-005 but those are gonna be too tight and I know it...and I do not want to size up the waist because I do not like sagging my jeans.

So, any suggestions? I'd like something like the RRDS (rise-wise) nothing higher. So anything from 8" to 10.5" would be great.

THANKS!

studio d artisan sd-103 or 003

studio d artisan sd-d1002 (bootcut)

samurai s5000vx

skull jeans 5010xx

fullcount 1614

fullcount 1108

nudie dry selvage svens

imperial dukes

dior homme (tapered)

thats the list i made and did extensive searching on bc i was looking for the same thing. they are all true straight legs, except for the noted ones. i bet the dior hommes could look straight depending on how high you have them hemmed up. hope this helps, and that no one flames you lol . . .

dude check out the APC HIPSTER. true boot-cut, much better than the RRDS. RRDS = 300$ , Hipster = 140$ and yes, the hipster are def. dry selvedge.

better buy in my opinion.

i'm pretty sure apc hipsters are completely straght leg.

they are selvage and have a low rise tho.

you might want to try imperial dukes too, as someone already mentioned. i recall someone said the thigh had some room a long time ago..

i think the skulls and diors 19 might be too skinny for you... maybe the 21cm would be more fitting?

hipsters are definatly bootcut, but straight all the way down with a larger leg opening, true to form boot cut. this is straight from the mouth of the rep at the APC store when i bought them. i bought them on purpose because i'm skinny and need a bootcut for when i rock my nike SB's or other fat shoes that look totally stupid wth my slim jim's and other sknnier cuts.

dude if his legs are to thin for xx005 how will he fit in diors? (unless of course your talkin bout the 21 cm) and i own sd 103 and there pretty tight in the thigh as well

sooo ughhhh

Im sat in pbj 005s with a shirt on ( for christmas! ) and I cycle so my thighs are normal sized at 22inches, ive just measured the top of my thigh and its 22.5inches at the top thick part, so pbj 005s might still be worth considering man.

They look smart and modern. Im in the one wash, 31inch.

If you have 23inch thighs I expect a 32 would do you fine.

"big legs" is a misconception on these forums...

still looking for information on the edwin..

what about imperial king or duke? wheres a place i can find them for sub-$200?

What kind of information are you looking for?

Check the "evolution of jeans thread". I've posted some pics of my ed-47s and theres some nice nashvilles too.

stop throwing all this "info" around, if you have facts/experience then please post but all this guessing is extremely confusing.

if he considered the pbj's too tight, then skull 5010 are a worthless suggestion. skull 5507's are a lot looser and might actually work, check the skull thread for measurements.

diors are hardly tapered, 21cm's could work for you. samurais, studio d'artisan sd-103's and imperials could work too.

i know what you mean bc many guys are skinny, but my quads are 25cm at the largest point, and when you take into account my smaller framed upper body, they are def 'big legs' -- i'm no rugby player or anything but i def have an athletic enough build that i can't pull off some skinny looks
