Fun topic. Just had a holiday party this weekend (involved a small keg of dogfish head and a rye whiskey punch), and the most played song was probably JT/TI "My Love," but that's jsut cuz folks wanted to get down. I particularly enjoyed:

Ramones -- Merry Christmas (I don't want to fight)

Waitresses -- Christmas Wrapping

Charlie Brown, of course, though the new remaster is a lil too clean

The Walkmen -- Christmas Party (nice and boozy)

The Pogues -- Fairytale of New York

Run DMC -- Christmas in Hollis

The Darkness - Christmas Time

What seasonal song do you hate? I always hated Macca's "Simply Havin' a Wonderful Christmastime," but I played it anyway.

anyone within range of princeton wprb radio listen to the 24-hour xmas marathon? jewish dude stays up for 24 hours on xmas eve playing all christmas music. madness. been listening to that show for more than a decade now.

Great thread. I just made a huge funky-ass massy x mas mix this weekend.

My current favorites are sufjan stevens' songs....

but my all time winter favorite this year is gonna be the Knife's "Reindeer"
