yeah, i'm a steezjunkie.

i actually like their non-fashion fora over their. some very interesting intelligent posters. i find that most of the supergay that i love are over there. it's like the supermirror. and they got lots of incentives, like SF exclusives, discounts and the like.

sf is like a crowded kegger. SF is like a smoky pub.

a merging of these worlds would be cataclysmic.

completely agree that the other threads are much more interesting than their denim thread. yeah, people that know what they're talking about

guess i'm alone here thinking the future > steez. i just like rye's waywt's that's about it. i liked steez a bit more for awhile while i was in japan, but not so much anymore. it seems very tame and unimaginative over there... the same may be said about here but i think there's more people doing their own thing here. and i think there is a higher percentage of newbie posts there... or i just ignore the ones over here better. that said. i haven't looked at their non-fashion stuff and i do need a pair of nice dress shoes...

Well, considering the admin started the Streetwear and Denim forum on my request and put me and LA Guy as moderators there, I would have to veto the idea of combining or redirecting our forum to this one.

I do like the smokey pub atmosphere at SF. Funny you should mention that DDML, over the years I've heard the bar analogy brought up at least once or twice by other members, although I think it was used to compare us to Ask Andy (I would say the AAAC forums are akin to a Masonic tribune :P)

Another thing there is that we do get is some intelligent and articulate posters from the 45+ crowd coming over from the Main forum into the streetwear forum lamenting the existence (rather, lack their of) of quality jeans like the Levi's they owned when they were younger. It's always a pleasure to read their responses after we introduce them to Sugarcane and APC. We introduced Mr. Kabbaz, one of the world's premier shirtmakers (maybe even #1?) to 45rpm. He had some issues with how they do the stitching but ringring cleared it all up for him, hehe.

They're different atmosphere - both steez and sufu are necessary.. I love the comedy on here and there is a higher concentration of denim nuts on this forum, and generally a lot more traffic. I feel like some of my favorite posters on this forum don't feel as welcome as I'd like them to on my forum, but shit, we've got Saucemaster and Get Smart posting on our WAWYT thread quite often and that's more than enough for me.

Servo, I am also a member of that other forum you're referencing. I very much like it there as well. Following the drinking location analogy, I'd brand it as the wine & cheese get together.

Freakin hell yeah. I wish he'd (get smart) post on our waywt more demmit. Frickin weirded me out when DJ flame started using the same icon as him.
