I'm pretty sure I discovered superfuture through a google search, trying to find a 10 deep polka dot hoody (I'm so new to the online clothing forum scene it's embarrassing). I regularly post on hypebeast, but stop by superfuture for a more mature (and timeless) look at the fashion world.

Either I was googling denim or linked a link from NT. Either way I'm glad to consider myself a superfuturian/niketalker. Best of both worlds.

Oh BTW, my now goto brand for denim at the moment, APC, was discovered after joining, not before. Peace.

google like everyone else. I would search for more info on brand names, whatever bullshit I was into a couple years ago, PDC, diesel, g-star, etc., and of course, SF popped up and has stayed in my life since. i lurk most of the time, hence the semi-bored status. I've always wanted to post on WDYWT but keep putting it off. i guess i will one day when a camera lands in my hand and i happen to be standing in front of a mirror and wearing something i really like and the lightings just, oh so right...

i went to this one store in scottsdale where they carry nudies and they introduced me to the whole dry denim thing, then i tried to find more information on the GQ forum (bad place?) and thru there i discovered mynudies.com and thru mynudies.com i found out about superfuture.

i lurked on superdenim for a couple months before joining, specially the dior thread, the WDYWT thread convinced me to join

it was a cold nite... the sort of nite you where you turn up the heating, put on some socks and roll a fat blunt all to yourself. so cold that you can see the fog beginning to form for the next day out of the window. the sort of nite where you go on the net and just explore... you know how you used to do. a search here... a search there and next thing you know you've found a message board with people discussing things you're interested in and its like a treasure trove of meaningless interesting information. this was before google ran the internet, finding things was a more straightforward process back then... you had choices... now its a googled powered world... dont get me wrong, thats good too.. but trawling the net isn’t about one option. anyway, you’re getting sidetracked. so.. it was cold, very cold... alf re-runs were on tv and the room was illuminated by the 80's colour saturation on your ugly big screen rear projection tv that took 3 guys to move in to your apartment. the simple interface of the message board with no animated gifs feels nostalgic when you look back.. you lurk as you still do... acceptance isn’t something you are looking for, inspiration is... plus you always have time to kill, being a 20 something with a disposable income in the developed world makes you just another number.. but places like this give you the opportunity to be a little different amongst your circle of friends and you feel more comfortable watching... people watching is something we are programmed to do. the net allows you to take it to another level.

so it was pretty much like that, you have used sf for the city guides well before you actively lurked in the forums... new york, paris and san francisco have been trawled using the guides on numerous occasions. the forum opened another avenue for you... a more diverse... and lets face it at times cheesy world... but you are all the better for it.
