"Bumble and Bumble owner Michael Gordon launches his new retail concept this month on the 8th floor of the hair salon's grand headquarters in New York's Meatpacking district, housing a café, barber shop, home and travel accessories department and specialist tea shop. The store's menswear comes courtesy of East London tailor Timothy Everest, a friend of Gordon for over 15 years, whose distinctly British bespoke tailoring hits US shores for the first time. But what really has us buzzing is Everest's new range of fully bespoke denim jeans. For around $1000, your choice of indigo, dark vintage wash, dogtooth or white wash Japanese denim will be cut and stitched in to the best-fitting pair of jeans you're likely to ever own, complete with a hand-written inside label stating your name and measurements. What a trip. I was waiting for this to happen. They better be *real* bespoke, and not based on the same pattern and cut to your measurements. For $1k, you better be able to choose every last detail yourself.

hand-written inside label stating your name and measurements...is that really necessary? i'd definitely be more keen on fully customisable details. starting with the backpockets with hidden rivets, fully felled seams, my choice of buttons, selvedge coin pocket, two-tone stiching. and damn good denim and dyework as has been mentioned.

not because i really need those details, but because it's spending a grand on a pair of pants, and they mean more than just my name on the inside tag.

i've gotten some stuff by Timothy Everest co-branded with Oki-ni and I'll attest to the quality. If I had a grand to blow, I might be down for checking them out. Actually, check that, it would have to be several grand, because one of the first on my list is the coat coldrice is selling...

what about the tim everest x oki ni x levi's that came out a few years back. the raw/one wash ones looked fucking amazing

those are exactly the ones I was talking about...I would have preferred a slimmer cut than the ones i got, but sometimes beggars (ebay watchers) can't be choosers...

btw...your avatar provided the impulse for me to do some internet searching about ganguro girls...dammit I need to date one at some point...or at least pull a one night stand
