has there already been a thread like this? whatever. i go thrifting pretty often. most of the time, all i find are quadruple XL no fear tees that reek of shit. on the other hand, there are days when i find the most random, awesome stuff. i guess you could post some great finds in general, or some things you picked up on a good trip.

im really really happy about these sunglasses i got. fuck spending $300+ on those nearly identical tsubi ones!

i also got this slim, thick thermal:

and some bat-wing, slightly oversized sweater with pockets, a green/black plaid button down, and another pair of black boots:

all for about $30! so i guess you could say i had a good day.

I went today and I got a Christian Dior button-up, but that's about it. There was a pretty amazing Le Tigre cardigan but there was a huge tear in the back (who tries to sell that shit?).

A few weeks back a found aCanadian Military jacket for $7.99, my favourite thrift find so far, I think it's great! I don't have any good pics of it but:

I have a lot of trouble finding stuff because I'm skinny AND short.

edit: and also bad at spelling

i dont know why but i tend to be a walking good luck charm in a thrift store whenever with friends or myself

$25 Faberge Acid wash jeans

$15 Tsubi 'back to front' jeans

$10 BRAND NEW Levi's Tuff Skinny Raw jeans

$60 BRAND NEW Tsubi 'Joey' jeans

plus

$2 - $5 jumpers and cardigans all great styles would love to show pics but i dropped my camera at a music fest :S NOT GOOD!

i dont know how people tend to give these items away

im not joking at all

i have found these in (for those who live in australia, esp sydney) St Vincent De Pauls, Salvation Army, and The Smith's family stores

buffalo exchange is a chain of vintage stores that appeals a bit more to the fashion-forward/trendy aesthetic than just taking whatever people give and selling it. it can be a bit pricier than regular thrift stores, but the stock is curated carefully. also, the people who typically work there are really, really major assholes.

i think the biggest thing about thrift stores is that it is truely an art as cheap has proven us all with his amazing shoes and stuff. however, basics like tshirts, or even vintage jackets, its hard to find good stuff there that doesn't look like it belongs there.....i guess thats the most important thing for me, i'd wanna find shit at thrift stores that don't look like they have been dropped off there for some reason or another...

ive never really found anything at a thrift store, except for this pair of hugo boss jeans, like 3 years ago i got them for 4 dollars, and it looks like they were bleached, so they are this really light grey color, which is weird cause inside the pockets they are a medium blue. The fit is awesome but cause of the color its not an every day pair.
