Hole in Vans Slip-ons.

I have a small hole forming on top of the canvas part. Do I just patch it with some superglue, sew it up, or ...?

personally, i like it when slips get beat up...

but if you want to patch it, don't use superglue (too brittle). i'd use a patch of scrap fabric and hand sew it in (patch on the inside).

you wear it with the hole so you dont look like one of those dudes who just started wearing slip-ons this year as they suddenly became cool again. wear them until they fall off you. then spend 30 bucks and buy another pair.

I got my first pair of Vans in 1986. They were white Authentics. I still have the box. Sitting on a school bench, my friend tapped the top of my right shoe w/ her Little-House-on-the-Prairie boots and forever besmirched that pair, one day after I bought them. I tried to scrub the dirt out but it just turned into an ever expanding circle of brown. We remained friends but I never truly forgave her.

On that day I vowed to keep my shoes, all my shoes, Vans included, as spotless as I possibly could. That said, if you see me walking down the street in spotless Vans, know that I'm no noob to them. You'll will have probably figured that out though as I'm older than dirt but I still got my Vans on and yes, they do look like sneakers.
