new era sizing

do you know how they size thier hats? like if its 7 1/2, is it like 71/2 inches?

They have wacky sizing. One of my NY one is suppose to be 58cm (7 1/4) but the actual circumference was like 56. My Boston one is suppose to be 58.7 (7 3/8) turned out to be 60 :/

I i dont know how the 7 1/4 etc works, when i was purchasing mine i looked at the centermetres. I guess to be safe, you should size down? So if your a 58cm head get something thats like 57.7.

don't buy new era before trying them, the sizing is too inconsistent. i have hats ranging from 7 1/8 to 7 3/8, and they all fit the same. new eras are relatively easy to shrink a bit, but a bit harder to stretch (it's not impossible though), so you're unsure, better to go with the larger size

yeah they are inconsistent.. i have all my hats in 7 5/8 and about half of them fit perfectly on me and the other half are too tight

i had one that i thought would stretch out but it never did so i traded it.

just go to your local mall there are stores full of new era fitteds. try them on
