Rain and Dry denim?

I just went up to school to study and my jeans got sprinkled with rain.. I had an umbrella.. they were only 501 STF so I dont really care.. when I get a more expensive pair should I be more worried about this or is the affect minimal? Sure when they get soaked then it would be an issue but does this matter at all?

What do you guys do to avoid this problem? Check the weather I assume?

i use rain as my sole method of washing my jeans. i never wash, but whenever it pours, i run around with jeans on. worked on shrinking my pbjs.

If they get wet its ok, but if they get wet and then you rub them against something, the indigo will come off. I heard stories about people bike riding in thier Veggie Ralfs and it turning totally white where there was abrasion. But then again I hear alot of things...
