I'm gonna have about 6 hours to kill in downtown Chicago. I'd like to get my hands on nice denim before I have to pay for it. Can anyone out there recommend something that would be near the Amtrak station? I don't mind walking a bit.

well since you have only 6 hours you will need to grab a cab but you could head to jake on oak street for nudies, rag and bone and some other brands. barneys is right next door with more nudie (mostly washed styles) crate, rag and bone, acne and tsubu among others. diesel flagship is right down the street if thats your thing. and if you head east to michigan ave and then south on mich. you will hit levis flagship which usually has some great stuff (capital E or lvc)

if you are looking for japanese stuff or something more obscure there isnt much in chicago unfortunately.

you could also try untitled on clark. they used to carry evisu and they somtimes have obscure stuff but you might want to call them before you get to town.

also, there's a store on oak that sells chrome hearts
