Osaka and Tokyo in early March?!?

I will be travelling to said cities on these dates (Osaka 3/3-3/5 - Tokyo 3/6-3/9 ). I'd love to know any cool happenings (music, art, fashion, etc) during this first wk of March. I hail from NYC. Am staying in Shibuya when in Tokyo. I am travelling to shop for half my time and just chill the other half. Any help would be appreciated!!! In particular, any suggestions for cool shops (mens fashion and music) would be great. Cheap but authentic Japanese eats too!!!

[sigh] Everytime somebody's traveling to Japan or Hongkong, these types of threads appear. How about checking out the parent site for Superfuture first??! I mean the whole point of this website is to help shoppers find what they want. (The bbs community is just secondary imho) The maps are more than amazing, and seem to be also updated as new stuff comes along.

You asked about happenings and events. Is it so hard to google something like "japan tourism" to find sth like this: http://www.jnto.go.jp/eng/index.html.

Then you could also buy a "conventional" travel guide, like Time Out's guide to Tokyo (I like it) - http://www.timeout.com/travel/tokyo/

When you're there buy a copy of Boon, Street Jack, Smart etc. Lots of ads for shops in those as well as guidelines on what to fiend for.
