denime question

Just picked up a pair of denime lot 318 ,hidden rear pocket rivets, brown selvedge,quite a slim fit(well slimmer than my sc1947's).

I was just wondering if anyone had any more info on this model,what its based on etc?

As far as I know Denime don't have lot numbers on the tag, the 318 is a serial number which is different for every pair.

for some reason, no one bothers about denime in this forum...it's probably because it has gone mass marketing...i don't know if the quality is comparable to the more popular japanese premium denim frequently discussed here.

Denime are highly regarded in their home market. I've always thought that examples of their worn in jeans look very close to genuine vintage denim, but apparently they are stubborn and take a long time to fade. Personally that kind of appeals, as it means they should stand up to more frequent washing and still turn out good. At the moment XX Type IIs which are a 1954 cut with a lower rise and straighter leg than the standard XXs are high on my wishlist..

yeah, and they can be found pretty cheap if you're lucky. i've had 3 pairs and i've never paid over $50 for each.

anyone know anything about the kind that have the tag on the tag on the left pocket, is the only difference that they are not levis repro?
