Levis vintage question

Recommended Posts

I just went to a big thrift store and found a pair of 31x32 levis that were made from selvedge denim, they had a leather tag on the back, tag on the inside, and on the front left it had a tag that said may leak colour or something like that. It had a red Levis tag with the small e. I basically just wanted to know if these were worth getting. If not for myself for resale on eBay or something.

Thanks.

edit: they sound like new premium 501. if they have black bartacks on the back pocket and the legs are twisted, they are vintage. either way, if they fit you they are worth getting. better yet, if YOU like them they are worth getting. dont let jaded fucks on the internet tell you what you need.

Tread carefuly. These CANNOT be vintage! Thai fakes notoriously have leather patches; any original Levi's with leather patches in decent condition are worth $1000 plus. Thai fakes are worth more like $30. These jeans are now flooding the vintage market - in fact, Urban Outfitters in the UK have temporarily stopped selling vintage Levi's, as they've been caught, by certain eagle-eyed observers, selling dozens of fakes for $300 plus.

If you buy a fake knowing it's a fake, fair enough, but be warned.
