I don't know why everyone flamed daniway that last page for this issue. I also think that if your parents can support you that they should support you.

Hell, even if they can't support you financially that they should at least be reasonably human.

I mad lucked out with loans, grants, scholarships. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to go to school either. I am very lucky that I never had to ask my parents for more than giving me extra toilet paper lying around in the house rather than me buying it.

But why shit on someone for needing more money?

I'm assuming every flamer on this page has had some kind of similar situation to be so insulted, so you should be able to empathize even more with her, realizing of course, that she hoped that shit would be easier just like you did. Just, it wasn't....

My parents who by no means are well off made an agreement with me that they would pay for half of university and I paid for the other half. I ended up working for 2 years between high school and university to ensure that I was debt free when I graduated and worked part time throughout my university education. Becasue I was fiscally responsible for my education I did not take it for granted. I must admit that my parents are the greatest parents in the world and have made so many sacrifices to ensure that my siblings and I have a better life then they had. They helped me financially but at the same time made me understand the value of my education. When I have children I plan on making the same deal with them to ensure that they do not take post secondary education for granted.
