theres little to no cardio value in wii bowling, im sorry.

honestly, if you're gonna bulk up, you're still gonna want to run at least once a week for maybe 30-45 minutes. rapid weight gain without the proper tempering is just gonna make you fat. it happened to me when i first started going to the gym, but i figured that i may as well get my cardio up as it is, so i ran, and i lost all the extra weight i had. im still ~12% body fat, but im still skinny. run, you won't regret it.

Hmm, thanks for the tip...

Oh, I said boxing though... I'm not sure how you play, but I definately break a sweat playing. Maybe I get too into it.

it's pretty much important to get your heartrate up before you do anything in the gym. 30-45 min? not really necessary if you're just going for bulk, but 15? yeah, I'd say so...boxing is pretty intense as well...that shit reminds me how tired I used to get doing martial arts

you obviously don't know how to crosstrain. if you don't put some cardio into your exercising you're just gonna eventually get fat. if you run for 45 minutes once a week, and do different routines every day, you won't get skiny, you'll get lean/muscular. saying that you get too skinny running just means that you don't know how to work out properly.

This isn't neccesarily true.

I don't do cardio, I'm 10-13% body fat. I work out every day. I know exactly what I'm doing when it comes to controlling the appearance of my body.

Running has very little to do with gaining muscle. If you're looking for weight gain, I'd cut the cardio out almost completely and do a HIT program.

EDIT: wearing anything but proper shoes to the gym will fuck your feet up for sure.

sigh.

If this dude doesn't fuck up his feet with canvas shoes, you likely won't.

I don't mean to rag on you Jeepster, but unless you're a trainer/have been training for years at a high intensity level, don't give workout advice.

There's a lot of bullshit out there.

ive been training since 14. when i was younger, i worked with a trainer, but overtime my routine has changed a lot and im pretty independent about what i do now. what i do i guess works for me, considering im 6'7" and weigh 195lbs.

thats a pretty beast video though...

but i never said running helps you gain muscle. i said running helps temper the weight gain that comes with gaining muscle.

and i never wear chucks or any canvas sneakers cause i have bad ankles, so i guess it depends on your bodily preference.

I'm very out of shape so any kind of exercise gets my heart rate up and works as cardio. I forgot where, maybe in a magazine, but some guy had lots about 20 lbs just from playing Wii for like six months. He wasn't like deez at the end of six months but his physique was much improved. Exercise is exercise especially if you are dozens of pounds overweight.

i found this informative: http://forums.johnstonefitness.com/showthread.php?t=19229

its seems closer to the truth that the more muscle you have, the easier it will be to maintain weight/stave off fat. more muscle will burn more calories when your body is at rest. conversely, if you do too much cardio theres a danger you'll break down muscle and actually lose lean muscle you should want to maintain.

true, any good routine should include cardiovascular exercise, but it seems like the cardio is supplementary to the weight training.

why the fuck not? take advantage of your height. 6'7" is serious though,

That's too many tall to not be playing ball. My friend (of Caucasian decent if that is of any value) is atleast 6" and I wish he would play serious ball.

To get the thread back on track, en mi opinion esta horible:

Squat for great justice and get that testosterone flying around!

I'm lazy as buggery but I'm trying to get back into the habit of doing 2 reps of squats and shoulder training with barbells every day... about all I can be arsed with, basically because if I bulk my shoulders a little everything I own should fit a hell of a lot better.

There are tons of other kinds of outerwear you could be wearing instead of a cardigan wear a zip hoodie, a light sweater or longsleeve henley. Also, drop the cuffs/pinrolling you've been doing recently it doesn't help with proportions I learned that the hardway (I'm somewhere in this thread).

post-script: how did you go about washing your skulls

and your scenery is always awesome.

i think if the cardigan was open it would make a big difference as well

Also: best work out = playing soccer all the time, my thighs are getting waay too big for some of my jeans, :(
