Where to take a lady in London?

Hi,

I'm currently in London for work, I don't really know it all that well, but I met a girl today and offered to take her out tomorrow (Friday) night. She's also visitng London, so doesn't really know where's good, so she said how about going into the West End.

So anyway, what's good on a Friday night for two young people (early 20s) in the city of London? We're meeting up at 7pm to get a few drinks in, then go somewhere for a meal... then whatever.

Any suggestions? She has good taste in music, so that could be an idea if there's something good on.

If it's a nice evening Hit Tower 42 http://www.vertigo42.co.uk/ and Squeeze in a bottle of Bollinger at sunset, then if that goes well by far the easiest thing to do is saunter down towards Brick lane and into Shoreditch, for the cafes and bars, places to eat, and clubs if you want to make a night of it.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I think I might head over to Shoreditch, seems to be well regarded... not to far from Whitechapel either I think.

There's about five lifetimes' worth of nights out going on around that whole area on a friday night. Spitalfields is good for food and is between Whitechapel and Shoreditch. Bricklane has bars and cafes. Shoreditch has clubs and bars. If you don't have your eye on a certain destination just wander about around there until you find something that looks interesting.
