I posted this in the supermarket thread also- but I figured I'd post it here if people don't check supermarket.

------

ok, so i'm going to take a short trip to taiwan from the 11th-16th. i am leaving japan on the 18th to go to shanghai for a few days, then i'm heading back to the states for good.

SO this means you need to get in your last orders ASAP. i will be back in osaka for the 16th and 17th- i will probably only take orders for things i can readily get here (not pure blue japan or eternals- i'll have to see. i can get SDA, 45rpm, warehouse, denime, sugar cane, evisu, full count, etc. pretty easily). and I don't really want to spend my last day buying stuff for other people. So it would be good if you got your order in before July 8th. I will continue accepting orders at my discretion after that.

Please email me your orders, I reply to PM's much slower. Thank you.

Who else on here lives in a major Japan city.

I demand they take over this service provision.

Never got round to getting my SCs and Samurais I wanted cos I was relying on selling shit on ebay and using that cash for the jeans :(

That's what I did, but it worked for me (Thanks, Zvezdochka). And just in the nick of time!

djrajio will suffice, i reckon. i actually PMed him once recently but he said to look up coldrice instead. maybe he's busy? either way, someone on the other side would be good. there's all that markup when you deal with a store.

there's red in okinawa, i just realised!

well, I'm sure red could handle internet orders (like celga or juno) if he was so inclined. Outside of some of the harder to find stuff, most things people want are available on rakuten.

Thinking about moving to Japan. Still a few months away though, or more. Not sure if I'd have tons of time to be a personal shopper for denimheads either, but always a possibility.

Just out of interest, how does someone come to "think about moving to Japan" !!!

(Not that that is a bad thing at all)

Just I am presuming you are European or American citizen, so in my mind that would be a HUGE change of life!

i did the opposite.

so i need money to finance more personal purchases so im going to extend my services- i am still gone the 11-16th and leaving the 19th. but i can still take orders over that time and get them out to you when i get back on the 16th. because im running low on my personal money- i need money to get into my account prior to getting back- so it:d be good if you could put in your last order on the 13-14th or so. this is the LAST CALL.

I am moving to Japan (if everything goes as planned) in September or October.

That would give you just enough time to save up your money ;)

But seriously, when I get there I wouldn't mind doing the same thing xcoldricex did.

I could also set up a Yahoo japan account for those that want stuff there.

What part of Japan are you staying and for how long?

Tokyo is a tough place to try to just wing it. You will invariably run out of money a lot quicker than you expect.

On the other hand, if you know your stuff, it can be surprisingly easy to live cheaply in Tokyo, especially now.

You have a good network of resources here, so, if you do your homework, I think you'll be OK.
