Samurai Element Contest/evolution!

Ok, so Bokkepot pm'ed me with the idea of an element contest as Him and I both have pairs. We currently have ONLY 3 people so far (see the list below).

We do NOT have any sponsors (so no prizes :( Unless someone wants to donate, so you will have to buy a pair yourself (but it will be worth it!).

If you are interested we ONLY need 2 more models! But we are willing to take anyone with the models, the more the better. Just a friendly contest/evo. We do need the Void/Sky, and Fire Element, so please speak up if you want in. Once we have 5 people I guess the contest will officially start? But It doesn't matter if you do have a pair and it has been worn (please just no more than 2 months).

Samurai released 5 elemental models.

The "Go Rin No Sho" series is a collection of 5 different models presented by Samurai Jeans, each one based on the teachings of the famous samurai warrior Miyamoto Musashi found in his written text on survival strategies entitled "The Book of Five Rings" or "五輪書 / Go Rin No Sho" as it's known in Japan. Musashi broke his teachings down into five sections, or "books", in connection with the five physical movements of life as referenced in many ancient Eastern philosophies and thought; Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Void. And in this order Samurai will release a new jean featuring weft yarns and pockets bags dyed with a natural dyestuff representing each of these five elements.

Duration of the contest is 1.5 years from today September 1st, 2011 (subject to change probably).

S5000GX-T Earth

laxlife1234 Size 30

Here is an update of my pair:

Waist: 15.5" / 14.5" (stretched back out as I was buttoning up the denim)

Inseam: 37" / 35.5"

Thigh: 11.5" / 11.25"

Knee: 8.75" / 8.25"

Hem: 8.5" / 8"

Front Rise: 10.25" / -

After the first soak they barely shrunk, so I threw them in for a hot wash and they shrunk a bit, not THAT much, but enough to ensure a nice fit.

My elements @ 1.5 weeks (lol). They are aging fairly quickly..

If I do order one, it will be bought through rakuten but i have never used rakuten before.

How long does it usually take for them to ship?

I assume itll take about a week for jeans to arrive. Am i correct?

Idk. I always loved the nuance of samurai jeans. Im not sure if i said it correctly but things that im clear of is that i love the fire and that im sure ill buy a pair once there arent any uncertainty.

i ordered my wind elements from 2nd, it is easier to contact them directly than through rakuten ([email protected]). write it in english then use google translate to translate to japanese and include both english and japanese in the email. they are really easy to deal with.

my pair came in a little less than a week.

Order it! YEs, we need one more person in the contest then. Just PM me and I will add you to the list when you make your final decision. But trust me, the $400 will last you at LEAST 2+ years (if properly taken care of), so it will be money well spent.
