Streaky Denim Limited Editions

Has anyone noticed that it was a bit of a coincidence how Samurai and Nudie had both made a different version of one of their designs with streaky denim instead of normal raw denim to release as limited editions. The Samurai S510XX-AI and Nudie Limited Svenska both have similar looking streaky raw denim. Although the Nudies seem to be a bit more streaky.

I wonder if other brands are going to release some of their jeans in streaky denim as limited editions. Could be interesting to see.

AFAIK that's a common thing among Italian denim (limited svenska). Some Japanese denim with a wide color variation, usually natural indigo, can give a similar impression.

Pure Blue Japan AI-001 does, and its also extremely slubby like that Samurai AI. The Sugercane Hawaii also has a nice color variation.
