Should I wear a natural leather redmoon wallet with APC drys?

Basically, should I stain the fuck out of the saddle leather red moon wallet with indigo, or would that look horrible during the "Break in" of the red moon wallet? I've seen pics of the natural saddle leather red moon wallet turn this incredible shade of brown over the years, and I'm going to wear it in naturally (without rubbing in oil, etc) but will wearing dry denim just dye the entire wallet a gross blue color and kill the leather?

seriously, though-----the indigo will darken it and make it look super-mega-cool-tastical. your APCs shouln't do much to it anyway, not betty crockery.

Man, no no no, it will ruin it. I would wrap a hanky around mine till after the first wash. My first natural wallet got RUINEd. It came out looking like someone broke a ballpoint pen on it.

I have been wearing mine in my Nudie pocket, getting some blue, but not that bad. What wallet did you get? I got one of coldrice's "replicas." I did suntan mine though and put some mink oil on it. I would recommend you do the same. From what I have read, this will prevent the indigo from staining it too much.

I've been using mine with my fullcounts and no blue at all since I used the mink oil. I think it protects it from the indigo.

i got the classic real redmoon hr01a, the short wallet in a SD leather.

I kind of want to avoid rubbing any kind of oil on it that doesnt get onto it naturally, so I'm thinking of just using the damn wallet with the jeans and to hell with it if it stains a little.

a little mink oil won't hurt it and won't dye it brown. look at the other people's wallets, i do not believe the mink oil dies it like neatsfood oil does.

I have done both to mine, and after it dries, you can not tell the difference between the two, and barely at all when compared to "raw." I saw the picture of Minya's, and mine certainly did not dry that colour.

It will certainly turn the leather blue, but whether it's gross or not is subjective. I don't mind my RM wallet being stained blue at all.
