Rituals for brand new jeans

Anyone have any rituals or personal things they like to do to christen their new jeans? I like lap dances. Ha ha. Yeah it's stupid, but I'm posting for the sake of fun.

If they are sanforized:

1) take tags off

2) spray lap, knees, and back of knees areas with water (stiff jeans) or starch (softer jeans) depending on availability.

3) put jeans on and sit down watch movie until they dry.

If they are unsanforized:

1) take tags off

2) warm wash

3) spin cycle to get excess water out.

4) wear jeans until dry (do some crunches and extreme movements to set creases).

or in the case of the sevens im wearing right now it holds the back pocket in place where the rivet and stiching failed too.....

1st and foremost, I take a pic with the receipt so my homeowners insurance will take the rap if my house get ripped off. Lost an entire wardrobe that way once. Secondly, I leave them on the hanger and stare for a day or so, kinda of like a new car in the driveway. Third, I put them in the cue for some serious wear.

I live life on weekends. The first pair of raw denim I wore out for a whole weekend visiting friends, going to the beach and even kept them on when I went to sleep. After the weekend I hang 'em up inside out in the sun for a day or so.

Lately, since I'm still breaking in my first few pairs of jeans, I've started to keep the newer ones in storage untill it's their "turn". I used to have a good rotation for my denim before my raws, but now I just think I'll wait untill my first two get super-faded before I introduce another pair into my rotation.

I kinda like placing the ones on queu inside a cardboard box inside the closet with tags on and everything. I'm thinking of placing them in my giant tupperware boxes I usually reserve for sweaters. I also tend to pull 'em out once and a while for a good ole sniff... I love the smell of "new goods".
