example of a good ebay denim post

Recommended Posts

Now this is an example of a great seller on ebay (no affiliation at all)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=52794&item=6855361151

Clear pictures, great product knowledge, clean layout, accurate measurements, questions replied to quickly. Puts many web stores and other ebayers 2 shame.

I reckon it has 2 be a poster on these forums.

Whoever props.

yeah, whats the point? the buyer would know what the item is anyways if theyre bidding on it.

Just wanted to highlight how a proper ebay post should look like.

Hiw many time shave you seen vintage levi's reach stratospherice levels on the back of a few blurry images and a description the entails "found in a house clearance, kmow nothing about them , there you go."

I actually enjoyed reading the description, and wish others sellers went to such care and detail.

Dunno. thought others may get something from it and may bring about a constructive discourse. Obviously you think not.

give the guy a break, not everyone is an expert. and many have been burned on ebay before, so this is one way to avoid it.

It is a great looking listing, but it probably took a lot of time to do. With all of this effort, I bet they still will sell for the same amount as if he were to have a simple listing. I used to make really elaborate listings that I spent hours on myself but figured out that there is no point. Someone who buys something like high end Japanese denim already knows how much they sell for and how much they will bid for them. I also think that it is unlikely that he is going to snag some browsers that are going to bid high on them.

Carpe Denim! (not the jean brand silly!)

Thanks for bringing that post to our attention.

I appreciate it.

Is that a double felled seam like the the seller says? From the outside it appears as one, but from the picture of the cuff, it looks like a what some call and single needle. Could somebody who knows enlighten me.

Thanks.
