Manufacturer Error? Unusual Tab.

Just recieved 3 pairs of 550 relaxed fit jeans that I bought from JCPENNEYS online.

Two of the pairs have the normal red tab with the "levis" name and the r in a circle.

The third pair has the red tab with the r in a circle on both sides but no "levis" name on either side.

Is this unusual

No. From the late 70s on, Leiv's have always printed a numbner of red tags with the 'r' only - this trademarks the red tag alone as a device. Tha't why no one else outside of Japan, where they failed to register the trademark in time, can use a red tag on the right hand pocket.
