I recently checked out Polo and J Crew. J Crew has great colors, but the fabric is very flimsy and the fit is waaay too slim.

Polo has awesome colors and fabric, but the fit is garbage. I was swimming in large while J Crews large was fairly tight on me.

Gap made a good model a few years ago, good enough fit, good enough fabric, good enough price, but it looks like they're not stocked for the winter.

honestly, although i am not a fan of AA tees overall their pocket tees do me fine and are pretty spot on.

I've been getting black pocket t's from UO's BDG brand. Got them cheap over the summer 2 for $24. Soft, spot on fit, has held up well after many wearings and washes.

here are the current black fleece offerings

the white one is appropriately cheaper ($75), while the others retail at ($95)

the fit on these will not work for everyone though

they are fairly slim and short and length

however, the cloth on these is thick and great quality

The new stussy pocket tees are great for $29. Super soft, but they draw up a little after the first wash.

i've seen it at both the black fleece store (west village) and brooks brothers flagship store in nyc

depends how long your torso is. this is a tee that's best to try before you buy, i don't wanna recommend any particular size since that's really hard to gauge online

if you're in sf, try the bbbf store there

I've personally never seen an XL in-person or online

It might be because they simply don't make XL (...which doesn't make much sense, since their tees run one-size too small... i.e L fits like M)

(sizing guide on several sites only lists up to a large, which suggests that it only goes up to size L)

I know that Craft Workwear carries Velva Sheen, but they don't have a webstore. I doubt they'll have the mythical XL (these tees usually sell out fast), but it wouldn't hurt to call?

Anyone tried a Columbia Knit brand shirt? Hickorees carries them... made in the USA, in Portland, OR.

They're only $35 as well... don't know if I should go with them or Velva-Sheen.

Saturday's t's are OK. The collar and body fit are great, but the fabric has no weight and they're REALLY long. Not sure what a wash/dry would do to that, but depending on your height they could be an easy option.
