A registered identification number (RN) is issued by the U. S. Federal Trade Commission and is required on all items imported/sold in the U.S. The item should read RN "#####" somewhere on it.....you can see it in the pics on some of your other items. Using that link, you can select "RN Type" -> RN, and enter the RN number in the space provided. You then hit "Find" and the RN number will render the company's official name. For instance, When you put the RN number in for a Ralph Lauren item, the query returns: "Ralph Lauren and Co., USA" . Companies use several hundred RNs on their goods. This method is obviously not a foolproof way to detect fakes, but if you ever put an RN in and the search comes up with nothing, then you know you have a fake.

And no, that Evisu number is not an RN number.......did you buy it in the U.S.?
