suggestions on new pair of jeans?

I need something new, heres what I currently got.

APC Rescues custom tapered 7.5 openings, 8 months old, 1 wash.

Levis LVC 1947s unwashed 2 months.

Im looking for something along the fit of APC New Standards I guess, slightly tapered. I was looking at julian reds or sugarcanes, any suggestions?

most of sugarcame r replica of LVC 1947 which you have having now. maybe its worth to try nudie slim jim. they r tapered.

Slim Jim are a tube leg. Straight, not tapered. Extremely cool.

Super Slim Kim and Thin Finn are tapered. Also cool.

You gotta try them on to make a qualified judgement.

get julian reds, great fit tapered. on the cali's.

You could also try the Rotton from Earnest Sewn.

Its a narrow fit, slight taper. Check it in the Crinkle wash in raw denim. Pretty cool.

The 101z from Lee Premium is great; its a low rise, slim/taper in a resin coated raw denim. Starts real dark, ages beautifully. Classic Amercana style.

Im not feeling nudies too much, but I think im gonna go with the julian calis. How is the sizing? I got a 29 in rescuse and a 32 in Levis LVC, would 32 be good for the calis?

in my experience JR's are 1" larger than tagged size. fos5 has some measurements too.

You could also check out the Fullcount 1108. The fit is close to the New Standards according to measurements but the rise is a bit higher and the leg is straight and not tapered.

I think they look great. Come in overdyed black too

You could also try the Samurai S0505XX. I think they will be even closer to the NS. I have ordered a pair, I can let you know how they fit when I get them.

I recommend some Edwin Greenvilles in the same size or 1 size lower than your NS. Excellent selvage denim, lined back pockets, superb construction.

I'm also doing some early research on what to get next (working on first pair of APCs). There seems to be relatively little praise for Acne dry denim...is there a reason for this? Is the denim or stitching quality sub par? I'm interested in getting some dry mics but the lack of general fanfare is making me doubt...

acnes arent bad but there are better jeans to wear in.

acne is overpriced with subpar construction-----amazing cuts though, IMO

thanks jinx for the heads-up on the bad break-in. and i agree with ddml, love the acne cuts, so it's really unfortunate that they compromise them with poor crafting.

i guess i'll go with something from Japan when the time comes, since i'm a little turned off by Nudies after reading that their workmanship has gone down hill over that past year or so (i assume from the growing demand). Although i do have an eye on Dior...after seeing TragicBliss' results with them...
