Ringring, if you feel the need for this jeans I can hook you up with a store overhere, I'm not sure if these jeans is avaible worldwide. But I know the guy behind it, he owns several stores in Amsterdam and The Hague!

Hey Smartamsterdam,

Thanks for the kind offer, hopefully I'll get a look at them next time I'm in London (Duffer sold them).

What and where are the shops in 'Dam? I'd like to drop by sometime this year.

BTW, 14oz is a pretty standard weight for denim, it's not that heavy. (incidentally on the site, it claims they use 11oz).

Apparently, Denime make a whopping 19oz denim! It's a kind of holy grail for some denim lovers that I know.

14oz is not standard based on Japanese denim, it's the only jeansbrand I know who has it in his collection, only a view shops sell them, Spoiled is one!

MHI have some 14oz Japanese denim on sale right now.

I realise the trend is for lighter denim. (eg this link:http://www.45rpm.jp/denim/detail.jsp?id=005 ). In fact, the denim mills have moved to producing lighter fabrics just to make something different to the 14oz denims they had been churning out for years. If you read this link [url=" http://www.45rpm.jp/denim/detail.jsp?id=004"] <a href="http://www.45rpm.jp/denim/detail.jsp?id=004" target="_blank">http://www.45rpm.jp/denim/detail.jsp?id=004</a> you'll see 45rpm referring to 14oz denim as 'conventional'.

14oz was the standard jeans weight for denim for many years, (standard Levis 501 weight) so that's what I meant by being 'not that heavy' - not in particular reference to Japanese denim, but to denim in general.

I'd like to apologise if I came across picky.
