N.Y.C...

Recommended Posts

I'm taking a trip down to NYC in a few weeks. So after looking through the posts, going through maps here on superfuture, and talking to some friends; I made a list of places to stop at. Please feel free to add to it or correct it if the addresses are wrong and what-not. Oh, and I'm mainly looking at places to get some denim, along with shops like Union, ARC, etc.

Just looked at Yoko Deveraux's site, and I was impressed. Hopefully, I have enough time to stop by there.

Just some corrections:

Steven Alan - 103 Franklin St. 10013

Don't go looking for Recon / Nort 235 in the LES

So it's not even worth it to stop by the Steven Alan Annex in Soho? And I'm guessing the Recon on Eldridge St. closed and moved to Lafayette permanently.

Skip the Annex if your going to Steven Alan on Franklin. The annex just has their S.Allen brand shirts and other clothing.

Not sure what clothing you're into but I would add:

Groupe 16sur20 - 264 Elizabeth

Paul Smith - 108 5th

DDC Lab - 427 W14th (plus hit Jeffery, Jean Shop, Puma Black, An Earnest Cut and Sewn)

Jeffery - $$$$$ but great buyer

Comme des Garcons - 520 W. 22nd St (amazing space)

This is a nice list:

alife is in the lower east side. it's probably where you'll want to be hanging out to go to bars and stuff.

next door to cloak is a new store called blue in green. they opened like, 2 weeks ago and they carry über-exclusive japanese denim, like samurai and sugarcane. if you want jeans, buy from this store.

Check out the thread in Super Denim about Red and Greene, or Red on Green, or something like that. It sells some denim once thought to be only available in Japan. But I am from North West Canada, so....

Was just doing the same, this thread saved my life. In NYC in 2 weeks for a 2 week shopping mission, emailed this thread to myself and printed.

Please keep adding!
