  2. I'll never beat you since you have the title of "former FH employee" Have you tried the lighter weight (I think TKT? who the hell knows) tees? Those feel way lighter than the THC with the same nice collar, although I'd prefer the collar have that contrast stitching. I think they're actually loopwheeled too for what it's worth. They feel very light and airy
  3. Bump, price drops: j61 - $1000 j58 - $600 3a1 - $900
  4. THE STUDIO D'ARTISAN SUMMER COLLECTION One of the most impressive collections we've seen from Studio D'Artisan just landed at all stores. 7. I'm fortunate to have a job where I can dress however I want, and work from home 99% of the time, so I guess that helps. The last time I had a job where I had to wear "business casual" was ten years ago, and it was miserable, in that regard. I think heavyweight tees like Flat Head THC are perfect for places like California with a nice climate, but here in the sticky southeast US, I've found that heavy duty tees almost never feel comfortable to wear. It's funny to think back to summer 2013 when I was working at TFH and wearing thick tees every day in the warehouse, it wasn't too comfortable, hah. I like wearing a lightweight tee with an unbuttoned short sleeve (often from TFH!) on top. If I get hot, it's easy to remove a layer and cool down. Perhaps the real reason Ben has returned is that he was unhappy I was in the lead for the prestigious title of "most posts in the TFH thread"?
  8. OOE Type 2 tagged 38, fits more like 36 - if you’re interested DM me an offer. Lightly worn, has hit water. Almost no visible fading. Pics/measurements later. It’s this same model http://livininparis.com/2017/03/23/ooe-yofukuten-co/
  9. Recently gambled and lost on one of these at size 38, though I suspected as much I had to try, they’re so tough to track down. They’re beautiful jackets, and I’ve got one that’s just barely worn and just too small in the shoulders for me, and has relatively small arm holes for a type 2. The denim is stiffer and courser than their recent jeans. Because of the pattern it’s realistically more like a 36, so if anyone is that size and interested drop me a line. It’s about a size too small for me and a size too big for my wife. I’ll eventually list it if I can’t find someone I know will appreciate for it to go to. Meanwhile I’ll go back to hoping one day they will do this again!

  11. Quite small compared to @MJF9 Freewheelers 1927 Freewheelers WWII Freewheelers WigWag *too small now* Runabout Goods USN denim jacket
  12. These arrived today. Hi back trousers in salt and pepper over dyed chambray. The fabric is amazing in person. Very light, will be great for summer. The color is the most accurate in the last picture, sort of a grayish brown.
  13. I use my coin pocket, for coin people in line behind me at the cash register, don’t like it, nor the cassiere. Especially when the pocket is real small. but that’s why there are self scan registers
  14. @Hopethisoneisnttaken that’s true enough, but it’s a lot more visible.
  15. I prefer the first pair although that thigh pocket on the painters is useful if you can fit a mobile phone in there - and obviously I don’t mean one of those stupid ones that are almost as big as an iPad!
  16. Arguably the painter pocket is just as necessary as a coin pocket 😅
  17. Today is his birthday so my brother finally got to see and try on the jeans. He said it's the best gift I've given him yet. I learned a couple weeks ago how a yoke is actually supposed to work, so there's a bit of bunching on the yoke that I wish they didn't have, but he doesn't care. I treated it like a single dart on the center back seam and did not put a curve in the pattern where it attached to the back panels. Lesson learned, and it also explains why the yoke on my pair is a little off too. Next pair will be better, and I'm already thinking about what I wanna do. He thinks the flaws are charming though, so he's happy. (Dorky shirt tuck was just to show the fit of the jeans)
  18. Yesterday
  19. They touched down today and are by far the coolest pair of Sugar Cane jeans I’ve owned. Amazing fabric, details and fit. This is probably the 7th pair of SC’s I’ve owned and already my favorite.
  20. Short list at the moment: Full Count 2107 Type 2 13.7oz Oni Indigo/Black Secret Denim Type 3 Lee Storm Rider (70s)
  21. Take my bias into account - I'm not one for extra pockets. No painters or cargos or anything like that for me. It's all 5 pocket jeans or 4/5 pocket trousers for me. So I'm for the first ones. Unless you're actually going to need that pocket for work.
  22. 😅😅 if I’m being honest, I do have other jackets, but non of them are denim. I wear a jacket for around 6 months of the year. Having more than 1 got to me to a point where I wasn’t really wearing any of them, so I only left the one I liked the most and sold the others. I am eyeing some type I jackets. Possibly FW. We’ll see.
  23. Haha not with UK prices... and the Yen rates making jackets extra good value Given I'm in Yorkshire, I tell the kids they can have the heating on after jackets and star jumps have failed to warm them up... and it's below 10C... indoors
  24. ^ Less enjoyable. Less burning coal! That said, I don't want to think of the cost of my jackets and how I am currently saving for solar installation.
