Probably because they have released pretty tight designs + the quality and pricing is good and bobbyhundreds & his crew are pretty down to earth? Also, people on the hypebeast forum like them. They are not massively hyped over but they are respected.

the hundreds come up with great designs and concepts. its a different vibe for people. bobbyhundred can charge Bape prices if he wanted to since they are getting worldwide recognition now, but its been 3 years and he still havent yet. keeping streetwear on the street and not on spoiled kids. amazing graphics and decent prices = respect.

decent prices? bape prices?

are you blind? do you know that an average person pays $10-$20 for a tee. $30 is standard for this genre, but bp eis rediculous.

don't kid yourselves.

the stuff isn't my style, but regardless I commend bobbyhundreds for elevating his hustle to reaching such a mass audience while remaining pretty grounded. I can't hate on the dude.

These guys deserve all the respect in the world. Like their style or not.....they've got it going on. Think of it in musical terms.....you may not like Johnny Cash, or Metallica, or 50 cent, but you can, and should, respect their ability. I have a pretty good idea how hard it is to achieve the level of success they have......and with few exceptions it comes down to committment and hard work.

i feel what you saying but i hope you agree with me that there is a difference btw 30$ shipped for a tee and 90$ instore for one. and its cool that people have there own opinion about designs b/c we do want our own style. for instance i cant see why people in this forum love nudie jeans.

i like the hundreds , their designs are fresh and touch on some topics, of course not every design is hot, but i must say they have at least one or two nice items every season

i thought rockers NYC when i first saw that tee too , i think the rockers one looks better

i gotta say tho, i think their personalities and online presence set them apart, as they are just tryin to sell u shit, but they actually put time and effort into being part of the larger community and contributing something that way

sorry, none of it is for me. I'm all in for everyone doing well, and this isn't really aimed at the Hundreds, but in general it seems like most of the big brands rely on their infamous friends reputations and less on what is actually going on in the clothing. I was really trying to find an item in their collection that I would wear if it was given to me, and frankly, nothing popped out. Plus pagers are the new cassette tapes. I guarantee you there will be pager belt buckles in 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, ..... I'm sorry, I put more thought into my designs that that easy bullshit. Which is probably why I am still "unknown." Oh well.

I agree 100%

Their designs are so commercial. I can't really explain it well, but who wants a shirt that has a skateboard on it that says "skateboarding" or something like that? Or a picture of a pit bull that says "pit bull". What is that??

Plus I think it's more than just a coincidence that The Hundreds releases product with a pit bull on it after Supreme did the Rottweiller sweat.

I respect that their trying to do their thing, but it just comes across as so contrived.

It seems like they are trying to claim things. I'd really like to know their skateboarding roots, because they seem to use it as a crutch to give themselves cred. I think I read that one of them just recently started or something.

Maybe I just have a bias against LA/the west coast but I'm just not down.

Plus it seems like everyone sucks their dick whenever shit comes out. "Oh The Hundreds new tee came out?! That shit is so fresh!"

Damn, I sound really bitter. Don't mean to totally hate on The Hundreds.

Here's another thing. The whole bit about the Hundreds online inventory selling out. Are we supposed to believe that they had 2,000 tees online and their fans are so horny for their shit that they bought them up by 4 AM because the shit is so hot? Hell no. I could put up my Spring line, limit my server to 3 sales of each item and then get on the computer at 6 am and say "oh my God our shit is so hot that it is all gone!" even if nothing sold. Who is there to check up on that shit? NO ONE. It's miraculous how now they are already restocked online and they are ready to take more orders because they are "pulling stock from their stores." Look people, if you believe this shit than let me tell you that [mod edit: don't get political shit started]....... Again, it might sound like I am hating on the Hundreds, but I will never hate on a shrewd businessman, just on the dumbfucks who get duped.

is t just me or do their heroes and interests differ from their target audience.

they tak about stussy, undftd, ssur, etc, but then they sell to niketalkers and kids.

i don't think ssur would be caught dead in one of their tees even though they're down.

good point proletariat

i was thinking the same thing, even though i like the brand. but at least their not out to price guage on the paisy hoodies, and such.

I think they're being somewhat fair with the way their treating the stock, but i certainly dont think some of the more bland tees sold out. Some of them are admitedly knida weak, ie beeper & pit bull.

Then again im sure their sales SPIKED in comparision with past seasons one day totals, and that was due to the hype created by the 'paisley drop'...

never underestimate the power of the hypebeast, in terms of hype, this hoody was almost up there with the big boys : supreme, BAPE, u name it
