Any takers? I picked up a stack of Great Brain books, which I have been reading for hours at a time. Damn things are pretty solidly written and the Mercer Mayer illustrations are excellent.

I'm no aficionado but I'd be down for some more good shit.

I dont know if this counts as a children's book, but My Family and Other Animals by Gerald Durell is great.

theres like 20 other books in the series too

from what i remember though i enjoyed them when i read them
