From the picture they look a tad bit on the large side. But how does the waist feel? Considering the amount that these will stretch you want the waist to be pretty damn tight right now...to the point that that last button is a bit difficult to get on.

But it's your judgement versus mine and you're the one wearing them. If they feel good, then wear the shit out of them.

All right, I think I'll try to get a size down then. So I really shouldn't even be able to get the top button on at first? Thanks for the help guys.

You should be able to get the top button done up...... after a bit of wrestling with it. they should be PAINTED ON to your upper waist/hips; if they are, within a week, they'll have stretched enough that you can comfortably slip a finger or two between your body and the jeans.

In my experience the waist of most jeans stretches about 2" - 2.5"

How do Straight Svens fit in the thigh compared to slim jims?

Straight Svens are a typical straight, regular cut, with pretty big and low pockets (as most nudies have). Slim Jims are way more fitted in the thighs, and of course all the way down the leg...
