Evisu is still loved!

I ended up selling both pairs of Evis on Ebay, bought by the same guy. The thing that worries me is its a brand new account, signed up the same day as my listings so I figured hes signed up specifically to buy them, did a bit of research and he sells vintage clothes in Malaysia. I sent the invoice straight away with a nice discount on postage and am yet to hear anything. I'll give it another day or 2 before I start chasing it all up. Bloody new accounts :) Hopefully the deal doesnt go through and have to do it all over again.

Also if anyone is interested in some Evisu 2101's theres a couple pairs of size 31 and 32 on Ebay coming out of Japan.

Doesnt get much better than those. Hope you can bring yourself to wearing them Any ideas as to whats going on the pockets?

Gonna be simple white gulls, keep it classic.

And the minute I can soak them to fit comfortably is the minute I start wearing them :)

And Yin - the jeans are one of the pairs that were linked from Yahoo Japan a few pages ago...

Heads up - yoox has got some evisus with red tabs and patches with numbers like "2005" and "2004" which makes me think either "fake" or "MiJ" and hope the latter. ;)

Ill put money on Fakes.

Those two specially do not look real. Also look at the buttons used.

Evisu Japan just dont do those pockets from what ive seen. When i have seen Japanese stiched pockets they are done in a different method. Also the crotch stiching is reallly off.

FAKES!

So, I gave my No.2's a 30 degrees wash, no spin but I'm kinda disappointed with the shrinkage, which was minimal. I wanna get all the shrinkage out before I get these hemmed and there should be more shrinkage left as the size 32 pair I tried on was exactly the fit I wanted, and the man in the store said my 33 pair should shrink to that 32 pair post wash.. So what do you guys reckon: hot soak in the tub (water to the max, maybe throw in some boiled water as well) or another wash, perhaps 50 degrees or higher?

True. My experience with No.2 says to soak as hot as possible, if you want to get a whole size down (I don't think I ever got as much and I started from size 38). No.2 also stretches back out in no time at all if you would happen to overdo it.

Hmm, that's weird. I was seriously doubting my sizing at the Evisu store but the guy assured me they would shrink 1 full size (about 1'' everywhere) which is why he made me try on a size 32 which fit perfectly, and then told me to buy a 33 to get that fit postwash. Anyway I'm just gonna soak them really hot this weekend and see what happens I suppose, the fit now is pretty decent but a bit more shrinkage to get rid of the hip flare would be welcome.

I remember hot soaking my No.2's for about an hour in the tub and lost close to an inch in the inseam. I dont expect it to shrink much more than that.

I think if you use boiling water the patch becomes at risk, I personally would just use the hottest tap water and give it some time then maybe even a cycle in a hot drier. But really you probably have most if not all the shrinkage out already and the more times it hits water the more indigo you will lose and that deep blue starts to disappear.
