What do you guys think of his new direction? I hope he doesn't continue doing landscape images.

These pictures are much more interesting to me than the things he's done in the past, the locations really make the shots shine.

Really? I'm surprised. I don't see McGinley's strength being a landscape photographer. I think he's best when he's capturing emotions, like joy, pleasure, and elation, and 'moments'. There's tons of landscape photographers out there, but not many that are able to capture people like he can. I hope he does less of those kinds of shots.

these all pretty much do a good job of creating an interesting atmosphere that you dont really see a lot in photography right now. When they are combined with his portrait style they are so sick.

his new show is bad, really bad. i'm not a huge photography person, but his photos are so empty. i don't get the hype.
