I've dreamed about that fridge many times. Then not remembered it the next morning because I blacked out.

For my BBQ's, I tend to favor a nice mix of eclectic semi-fancy faux Mediterreanean food plus some simple grilled meats and seafoods, some J beezys, and something fun and offbeat to do together.

When J beezys try to pull that 'gotta leave early' shit, I let them get a little car away and then with the spatual in my hand, I scream something like 'namida no aji!'

went to a picnic with some Japanese people recently.

yakitori, yakiniku, yakisoba, tamago-yaki, yaki yaki yaki yaki. so good.

but its going to be a pretty white gathering so I am probably going to tone down asian influences.

every time I go to one of these parties people think they are so fresh because they serve bad mojitos or mint juleps or whatever, I don't mind making/offering simple cocktails, but if that's your main event I'll just go to a bar. give me a hula hoop or something.

fucking pogo stick, something.

^done.

I hate asking people to bring food but don't feel like cooking for a million people either.

Normally my strategy is to serve some chips/bullshit at the beginning get people drunk as soon as possible that they don't notice there is nothing to eat/do.

I feel like the slip n slide is a fine idea. I guess it depends on your yard though.

rocks fucking hurt like a bitch under there.

well, granted your guests don't look like dude in that slip n slide pic up there.

Kiddy pool if it's hot as hell.

use the kiddy pool to keep your beer cold, put a cover over it so the water stays cold if the sun is still out. beer takes forever to cool down in a fridge

For a BBQ here are some suggestions:

1) Set up a beer pong table somewhere

2) Homemade BBQ as others have mentioned

3) Pool/Slip n slide

4) An assortment of different foods (not just your typical steak, burgers type shit.. mix it up with some jerk chicken, fried fish, souvlaki skewers, etc)

5) As dismal mentioned, baseball

6) Video games

Well it all depends on where the venue is taking place. If it were to be situated at someones house, then why not.. But if we're talking about say an outside type venue then obviously gaming is out of the question.
