buzz rickson denim

Anyone have a pair? know anything about them? are they made by sugarcane? are they quality?

My understanding is that they're essentially identical. Both the Buzz Rickson and Sugarcane brands are part of Toyo Enterprise Co., so I expect the only real difference is the label and the Buzz Rickson line being limited to repros.

Buzz Rickson is (for some reason) quite a lot more expensive. No idea why. As far as I can tell there's hardly any difference between them.

if you're talking about the history preservation ones, I think the 'Canes are synthetic and the 'Ricksons are natural.

Indigo or not i think the canes look hipper. The pocket is what sells me. The denim better be pretty damn good for me to buy jeans without some type of pocket stitching.

Buzz has natural and synthetic indigo. Unlike Sugarcane they use top notch hardware always. Not saying sugarcane doesn't but apperently according with the designers Buzz is a more sought after line in Japan and demands a little more TLC.
