Shopping for jeans and sneakers on a US trip...

I'm taking a trip around the States (from the Philippines) and was looking to buy a pair of good dry selvage jeans and a pair of Adidas Samba Ks.

Neither are available locally.

How would you suggest I go about looking? I ruled out eBay because I have no idea how they'll fit (in fact, do you buy Sambas a size larger or smaller than normal?)

I will be passing through:

California (SF, LA, San Diego, Sacramento)

Washington DC

New York City

New Jersey (Roseland)

Ohio (Columbus, Cincinnati, Hilliard, Celina)

Tennessee (Nashville)

When passing through DC, there's a few places to check out...

In Georgetown go to Relish located in Cady's Alley off of M Street for Rogan or Nudie denim. You'll also find John Lobb shoes, Dries van Noten, Neil Barrett designed Pumas and Paul Smith. Across the way is also a great Austrian cafe called Leopolds and other contemporay furniture places.

New Puma store next to Diesel and Energie on Wisconsin Ave (also in G-Town) is pretty cool too.

In Dupont Circle, Circle Boutique on 17th Street is also worth checking out. They are one of the few places in the states that carry Rag and Bone denim and Band of Outsider shirts.

Across the river, around the Pentagon City Mall, check out Denim Bar which is run by a very knowledgable owner. They carry all Nudies, PRPS, Paper Denim, and by now, they should have Sugarcane denim...

DC is not a great place for shoes. There's a store on U street called Carbon that is a small wonder but still far from shoestores you'd find in NYC.
