Ey people, I'm off to HK in a few days. Any recommendations on where else to go besides Lan Kwai Fong? There's gotta be a few hidden bars and spots that I can hit up. Thanks.

there's lounges in causeway bay in the high rises. you bar hop by going floor to floor. there's henry house that's near times square and there's diamond house next to sogo. those are the names of the buildings, not the lounges themselves. most people just go to LKF though

There are this place near LKF call YUMLA,...awesome place, quite new as well. Club No.9 is good because it is unlimited drinks on friday night...

you generally arent gonna find anything decent music-wise over in HK, most clubs play commercial hip hop (and spin the same annoying trax several times a night) but over the past year or i've noticed a boom in places playing funky house. Every now and then there may by an international dj over but you should check that on www.hkclubbing.com

theres some nice places on wyndham street (dragon-i, azure (in hotel lkf)) both of which i would recommend but the door policy can be pretty exlusive so make sure your dressed well and having a couple of attractive women (or being one) in your party wont hurt either...

And so i heard about the weird mashes of every genre played in the clubs. Well, gota settle for commercial hip hop then. One can't miss out the nightlife of a city when on a vacation huh!

Aww yer...but then if they dont play mainstream noone gonna go. Hong Kong is really commercialised hence mainstream stuff tend to be more popular and HKer's are way to busy to do research.

Mmmmh there are few good clubs/bar...I particularly like YUMLA, have a look on the internet if you interested. Mostly drum n bass...

But Club No.9 have unbeatable all you can drink for $160.00

Stay away from 9. Its packed, and the 'liquid buffet' just means loads of hard to get (cos its so packed), watered down drinks. its wack.

Volars pretty good...it seems to be more dance orientated, whenever a name dance dj comes down they ususally spin there.

But how can they water down ur drinks if they're in a bottle i.e. beer. I love my beer sl all good!!!

u got me, u cant get gipped if u just drink beer BUT i stand by what i said...theres a HUGE '9' figure that the bar is shaped like, and in the middle of the 9 is a whole load of wasted space which means the bar is so so so so packed its not even funny, especially when u have to wrestle ure way through people to get drinks. It normally takes like 10 mins to get a drink there.

Ok, i have a personal grudge against 9. Everyone has places that they just dont like no matter what.

I have once asked the security what is that thing in the middle..apparently is a piece of cloths that cover the hole. So ppl dont jump down.

Haha....if u know the bar tender is ok, they r very nice. I tend to grab as much beer as i could cause there are 3 bars..soo i grab 9 beer and drink it all at once. Then off to other clubs...

The beer in Beijing cost $77HKD...wtf man. :eek:

Mmmh Beijing aint as good as before, I guess may be I am getting older. Yer from 60 bucks to 77 which is hardcore....

Oyster ...mmmh interesting I shall check it out when I go back there end of the year. Hehe.
