where to find raw 1955 501s? anyone repros besides LVC?

I am looking for some 1955 501s in dry form but I am having trouble. I have checked some of the Europe based online stores and have had no luck.

Also a newb question: do the dry LVC 501s come in only STF? or sanforized as well?\

I have also been looking for LVC mainly but do any other companies make repros of it that would be fairly "easy" to acquire?

Theres a few pairs on ebay at the minute but you'll pay top dollar. Think all dry LVC are STF.

Good luck in finding the LVC 55's - I heard these have been discontinued for now.

Sugarcane do a 55 repro, the SC411955. I think the Denime XX is also based on a 50's pattern - although the XX's fit differently to LVC 55's. (the Denime's have fantastic fabric though).

Yes, the 55 model 501's have been discontinued and seem to have disappeared from the supply chain pretty rapidly. If you got some last year, lucky you.

no they are not discontinued but Levis rotate their stock. They shall be available again next week

I was looking at the levis japan site and saw that the 66 501s look pretty relaxed, are the 55s still a looser fit? I originally thought that the 55 was the loosest out of all the commonly repro'd years. Was I wrong?

Don't know if they're still made but the 33's and 37's were looser than the 55's. From what I've heard the 66's are a trimmer fit than the 55's. Personnally I like the 55's which fit me just right as I have bigger thighs than normal. I'd call them a relaxed fit.
