Was not shrinking to fit a bad idea?

My stfs have yet to touch water. They are on about 2 months now and the wear is looking pretty good. I am concerned though that once i do soak/wash them, that they will shrink like a mother and the wear marks will be all over the place and look extremely goofy, especially the honeycombing. Should i soak them soon before the wear becomes any more extreme? Or just hold out for another 4 months and things will be fine.

i dont know whether my post was deleted or what, but since its title only appears and not the thread, ill just post my inquiry here. when i shrink to fitted my lvc 47's (hot-warm water 20 mins then wore them to dry) it appears that only the length shrunk and the waist and hips did not shrink , in fact they have stretched out. Just wondering if in order for shrinking to occur in the hips and waist if i have to dry em in a dryer? thanks.

wearing them to dry is hwat did it. you shouldve hung them up if you wanted the waist smaller. when they dry they shrink. but when youre wearing them they cant shrink more than a certain amount. they shrank in the length because there isnt much presssure going against the denim in that direction while theyre being worn. however when you wear them there is tension in your waist, thighs, etc because the jeans are trying to shrink around your body but cant.

bottom line.. if you want the waist to shrink, soak em and then hang dry.
