What the hell is a "User Note" ?

I just noticed that I had one under my profile, clicked on it, and it's a post from another member that I can edit / delete........

Unfortunately I forgot to screen capture, but it was from user Unlimited Soran and simply said: "Idiot"

Why would someone leave you a user note related to your personal calendar ?
