try frostriver.com. i think they have a travel bag in that style, but it's not patchwork. they might do customs though.

edit: It's called the "Flight Bag." http://www.frostriver.com/luggage/flight_bag.html It's $125 for the large bag which seems like a very reasonable price. robin on StyleForum might have some stuff by Frost River so you could ask him about it. Also, I don't see anything about custom work, sorry.
