Well played. In all seriousness, it's interesting that there's such a market for these brands on a local scale - it doesn't seem that too many of them make it to international markets (although I could be wrong) and they seem to cover pretty similar ground design-wise.

to be honest most of these brands are all sold through the same stockists and dont make huge impacts on mainstream fashion in Australia, apart from tusbi really...

This is true, selected boutiques all sell these middle range designers. Selected people buy these. Most people just shop at general pants, glue, blah blah mainstream places.

Oh please. Explain how this is fundamentally different than the other stuff we've seen pouring out of Australia. Drapey shit? Check. Lotsa black? Check. Sheer material? Check. Is there some aesthetic cookbook that all these brands are using?

I like the wet look dress in the first pic. Why the bagging of Aus labels? I think a lot of the aussie designers are doing a great job. Ok yes there is quite a bit of overlap, and you pretty much can tell which ones are from Sydney vs Melbourne (whether they use colour or not!)

No idea what they are, but they look pretty much like Doc Martens to me. I wish I hadn't got rid of mine in the 90's
