i havent really thrashed it yet. but upon the first few listens, its sounding pretty good. maybe not as immediately good as annihilation or darkened shrines, but its growing on me. nile are one of the bands that i imagine i would persist and put a bit of effort into listening to if their material doesnt slap me in the face first listen.

good point, thinking back i remember Darkened Shrines to be totally inaccessable(to me atleast) to begin with - and now that is clearly their masterwork.

i will give it another spin with a more open mind later.
