Leg opening of 1947 Sugar Canes?

Does anyone know the size of the leg openings of 1947 Sugar Canes?

Could someone with a pair measure for me?

I have a pair that were tagged 31x34. The measure when i got the canes was 9 inches. After i washed them they measured 8.5 inches. The wash was not a hard wash, but rather a soak in cool water with a hang dry.
