What is the relationship/difference between Miu Miu & Prada?

Can anyone expand on the nature of this relationship? I've seen it for years ever since I began searching for Prada goods on the net and never figured out a clear explanation except that it's a subbrand/group of designers.

The goods are somewhat cheaper, generally targeted to a generally younger audience than the main Prada lines - you'll be fine wearing it, haha.

Your sounds are backwards. It is pronounced "me-U me-U". Of course the sounds are more blended than how I've just written it.

also, miu miu tends to put out more vintage or older style products. such as those polos with the stretchy bottom and arm sleeves.. shit i forgot what theyre called.

i like Miu Miu better, it's a bit more 'hip' than Prada which is conservative, for the most part

unlike most diffusion lines, Miu Miu is still $$$$, shoes costing $300+ (instead of Prada's $400+) and suits 1500+ (vs Prada 2000+)

Nah they got separate stores for Miu Miu, at least in HK.

Wasn't aware MM suits cost that much? I thought i remembered seeing em at Lane Crawford go for like $6000 HKD a pop, that's about $700, pretty reasonable considering Prada suits are like $10000+ (HKD). I like Miu Miu more than Prada, for recent seasons at least.

Miu Miu & Prada have the same designer, namely Miuccia Prada.. Miu Miu is what her friends and family used to call her (and probably still does..) so she just went with the "logical" thing and picked the nickname and of course what already been said about being younger and cheaper etc. etc.
